Karma hits Mayor Gridlock

Remember when Mayor Gridlock gave SMP an impossible deadline for a new finance plan? Washington State Legislature just gave Nickels's terrible tunnel until April 1 to raise the additional $1+ billion they need to get the project out of the red. Gridlock probably wishes it's just an April Fools joke.

That was my immediate reaction on reading the newspaper headline. Karma is a b*tch, ain't it?

Unfortunately, since Mayor Gridlock and Ron Sims have been intimately involved in Sound Transit I have really soured on that project even though: 1) I voted for it originally, and 2) I am a HUGE supporter of mass transportation. Every time I hear about its "progress" and/or Mayor Gridlock making some public comment about how the city supports mass transit I feel my gag reflext kick in.
